A while ago, I made a conscious effort to try and eat the veggies on my plate first. Now, it is habit! I crave eating my vegetables and will eat all of them even before half of my sandwich or main entree is gone! Plus, it gives me a much more satisfied feeling -- physically and mentally!

    No only will eating the vegetables first help you feel full sooner, but you will get your necessary nutrients and be less likely to binge on sweets or other "junk food" through the day!
So promise yourself you will eat the necessities before eating "treats" and you will find you make consistent progress and feel better and healthier!

    I do that too... What a co inky dink... I didn't always do that but if we go out to eat now or even at home I order extra veggies and start with them first.. By the time i get to the rest of the stuff I am usually full and take most home in a to go box... emoticon

    I don't drink any soda at all, but I've heard soda junkies say the same thing - they have to drink all 8 glasses of water during the day before they allow themselves to have any soda. I think it's a great idea!

    When I fill my plate now, I start with the veggies instead of the proteins and I almost never add starch!
