I don't especially like to exercise, so I put out my exercise clothes the night before, and when i get up, and see them there, I'm more likely to put them on (if I don't, they make me feel guilty! LOL!!) and just get started. Once I'm started, I fell good about the fact that I'm doing something good for me and usually do 30-45 minutes of cardio and then some strength training! If I'm really short of time, I just do 10-15 minutes, but at least I've done something!
When I get home from work, I change right into my workout clothes and shoes. That way, even if I have to do some sort of chore before working out (like wash out my lunch box or throw in a load of laundry), I can't get lazy and change my mind about working out. I'm already in the clothes and ready to go.
Wash specialty exercise clothing with a baby detergent such as Dreft or Ivory Snow. They are formulated to rinse away thoroughly & leave clothes almost residue free. Also, don't use softener sheets if you dry them. These steps will make them last longer & retain ability to wick away moisture.
Some new flashy workout clothes puts me back in the mood to get to the gym for workout classes (or machines). Likewise, some new tunes for my MP3 makes me want to get out on the road for my jogs! A new route for my bike ride breaks up the boredom. Keep changing things up and make it fun!
