Tell yourself all you have to do is 5 minutes at the gym A lot of times it's really hard to find the motivation to go to the gym. You find yourself visualizing the grueling workout you have planned for yourself and it keeps you stuck in your bed/on the couch. When I'm feeling unmotivated, I tell myself I will go to the gym but I'll only do 5 minutes. Then after the first 5 I will re-evaluate and decide if I want to add more. Of course I end up doing an entire workout every time, the trick is just getting there in the first place!

Finding it hard to stay focused through your entire cardio routine??? DVR comes in handy for just this! I find I can do hours of eliptical or treadmill time if I am catching up on my weekly shows. I save them for when I am in need of my work out rather than couch time~ it is perfect and I find myself getting in more of a workout!!!

I have recently started a group of friends to exercise with since not everyone has schedules that match up if you have a group of exercise partners then it doesn't effect you if they "call in" you always have a back up partner and more motivation . The more the merry right??

Change at work before you leave When I need an extra push to get to the gym after work, I change before I leave. That way I feel more inclined to stop by the gym on the way home!

Get up, Get Dressed, Get Moving! Every Morning, first thing, even before my Coffee/Tea, and logging on SP, I get dressed, work out shoes and all. It reminds and motivates me to exercise. If you work a 9-5, change as soon as you get home, whenever it fits your schedule best. If I'm in my tennies and sweats, I feel dumb just sitting on my rump. ;)

Cannot go to the gym - Heart Rate Monitor Watch helps
I workout at home, I got a Heart Rate Monitor Watch helps me a lot, I have one of those that track how many time you spend working out, so at the end of the week, the watch will tell me how much time spent and calories burned during the week, I don't like to see less than 3.5 hrs so it helps my fitness accountability

I know we all want to exercise all the time, everyday, but don't. I was struggling with this this week. I was doing exercises and running everyday and pushing myself, even when I felt like I would pass out or my muscles would collapse.

Do you prefer cold water when you are working out? I do! Take a cold pack and a zipper pouch, freeze the cold packs and put your cold bottles of water in! Wahlah! Cold water while you work out!

For business (and pleasure) I tend to travel. A LOT. A quick solution for weight training - Instead of carrying around your dumbbells carry around two water bottles instead. A 20oz weighs 2.5 pounds. Bring them empty on the plane and fill them when you get to your destination. Fit in any workout!

Using Netflix to try out exercise videos Checking out videos from the library is a great money saver, but options are limited (at least in my town). I use Netflix to try out exercise videos that I'm interested in to see if I like them enough to buy. I can also get a huge variety this way: abs, cardio, yoga, pilates, kickboxing, walking.
