To stay healthy, I mix in a blender two fruits, two veggies, or even five sometimes, pinto beans (protein), one egg (protein), a sugar substitute, and greens. This makes about 2 cups.
I have used probiotics and digestive enzymes for 20 years. I have found that, in addition to Lecithin and Chromium Picolinate, probiotics assist in keeping the blood sugar normalized. They are also VERY important for the immune system. There are at least 13 strains of bacteria that are essential for preventing inflammatory illnesses and the health of our intestinal system which is the seat of our immune systems. These so-called 'good bacteria' crowd out the nasty ones.
I am not a breakfast eater, at least I was'nt, until now. I found a way to control my chocolate cravings and have breakfast without feeling yucky. I went and bought some special K meal bars. Double Chocolate and Chocolate Peanut Butter. This gives me my chocolate and vitamins the body needs, especially fiber. They taste great!!

Then click "Add another nutrient to track" I selected just about all the vitamins and essential minerals. I have found that I don't need to take as many supplements as I used to take. It saves money and I am more healthy.
I've found that by taking my B-vitamin supplement around 11am with my midmorning snack helps me avoid that "2pm crash" that usually hits after I've worked out the same morning. No caffeine, no energy drinks!

Sometimes, while searching for a food in SparkPeople database, which is incredibly rich, there is one item that I can't find. This also happens because I am French and occasionally look for products that we have here and that are not much in use in the US. I have discovered another place where they will give you all the nutritional info for a lot of stuff, in ounces, grams, cups or whatever suits your fancy

Eating raw fresh veggies and fruit, organic where possible, really fills me up and gives me all the nutrients and enzymes nature intended for good digestion and good health. You can eat, nearly, unlimited quantities of these foods without blowing your plan. Raw is so much better than cooked.
I'm always forgetting ... did I take my vitamins, omega-3's, etc.
Don't forget to track those supplements you take on a daily basis. It may take time to input all that information. But it will keep accurate records of the stuff you get that's not from food. Plus a few members have put certain vitamins in already. Check if yours is here.
Me not eating 5 hours before bed every night helped me to lose 40lbs in 4 months. When I started eating before bed I gained my weight back. It was hard for me to lose weight when I was eating 5 hours or less before going to sleep.

I used to forget my daily vitamins & meds. Now I use a 7-day plastic vitamin box, and I put the box on my laptop. When I start work in the morning, it's the first thing I see. Not only does It remind me to take my vitamins & meds, but it also reminds me to start the day with a glass of water!
When preparing lunch or dinner I now prepare two non-starchy veggies--like cauliflower & broccoli as well as my protein and carb. This not only adds to my nutrition and fiber but is more filling and prevents over-eating on more fattening foods.
