Make up// Self esteem// confidence boost

I just wanted to share that will trying to lose weight, a few things helped me. I changed my diet and stopped eating meat..i reduced sugars because i love sweets!! I ordered the water dispensers for my home with helped me drink cold great water daily...and i used makeup! Which was something i never did but inbetween workout if i didnt lose weight or inches...Seeing a beautiful face in the mirror helped me to stay motivated. http://www.marykay.com/acart

Wet & Cold Bathing Suit?

Want to go back in the water but dread putting on a wet, cold bathing suit...dryer and second suit not an option?

Rinse the suit with nice warm water, squeeze the excess & put it on...don't forget to SMILE!

Bad Day? Smile

This should not make any sense at all. You're having a bad day and the last thing you want to do is smile because your feelings are all wrapped up in your bad day and everything is going wrong. Smile. Yep, stretch your face for a second with a big smile. Do you feel slightly better? Do it again. Sure, you've had a bad day. It happens. Try smiling again. Seems a little crazy. Make The Gym A Friendly Place.

I work out late at night, and see the same other late-night exercisers at my gym over and over. It seems to be the norm, at ALL the fitness centers I've gone to, to NOT MAKE EYE CONTACT when one is exercising, and definitely to NOT TALK to other exercisers...like we're each in our own private bubble. But since there's such a small, regular group at Snap in the late hours, I've started saying HI to people, and smiling. Let's POP that antisocial bubble, and generate some community and support!

Be Amazed

Being amazed and bewildered by small things gets me smiling and reminds me that the little things add up. Ahhing and ohhing over a pretty sunset, bird, bug, boat, drawing, meal, gift, flower or anything at all brings out my inner child. It is awfully hard to feel depressed and discouraged once that inner child is out and an much easier to smile.

In order to be happy, first start acting happy. Develop a genuine smile and laugh a lot.
Smile into the mirror for several minutes and notice how your mood naturally improves. Smiling makes you happy and the more you smile the more happy you become.

Hugs...They Are Fabulous...Yes, Really!

Put your left palm on the back of your right shoulder. Put your right palm on the back of your left shoulder. Now SQUEEZE really, really, really tight. Hold. Release when you 1) feel better, 2) stop crying, or 3) start smiling. Repeat as necessary.

When you've had a 'bad' day, look in the mirror, make eye contact and smile (a PROPER smile) for 10 seconds. Our brains are wired to feel good when we see someone smiling. Oh, and smiling when you're exercising helps you keep going!
