Start with a salad

Start a meal with a big salad of leafy greens. Use a vinegar based dressing, not a creamy one (I make a balsamic vinaigrette). You will fill up on the lower calorie salad and have less room for dinner, therefore you will consume less calories at the meal.

portion control

to help me eat smaller portions and not take as much during dinner i use a smaller plate. Less space to put all the yummy food on means less that i eat

Eating Less by Eating More

Instead of eating three large meals and a snack, I'm eating four smaller meals with equal (or as close to equal) amounts of calories and nutrients.
