Secret Treat That's ALL mine

I pick a treat low in calories, high in flavor satisfaction to spoil myself! No one else in the house get's to have any unless I share. So If I tire of it I can open a different option. emoticon

THE 1 INGREDIENT RULE

whats helped me a lot is using the 1 ingredient rule. I try to stay clear of anything in the grocery store that contains more then one ingredient... I make everything at home myself from scratch and freeze extras if necessary. This keeps me from putting a lot of preservatives and extra sugars and salt. Saves me so much time not having to read every label as I go through and my meals turn out bright and colorful!!

Make Eating Memorable!

Everyone lives at such a fast pace today that we swallow our meals without even realizing what we ate. Set the table! Get out a tablecloth, napkins & the good china. Whatever you put on the plates is going to be dramatically more appealing & you will have had an experience, not just calories.

Have a goal!

Set a goal. I use marathons (half marathons, 5 or 10 k's) to motivate me to exercise. The goal is not to "win," but to DO IT. I just finished the LA Marathon on March 21st. 7 hours, 1 minute and 23 seconds! 7 hours of steady 16-minute miles. And you get a t-shirt! Start training early! emoticon
