Be sure to read all packaged food labels. The food industry is sneaky with the chemicals and word replacements. Soy and sugar replacements seem to be in everything!

Vision Board & GOALS

I "vision collaged" my back of the door mirror, this way I "SEE" it all the time!!! Everyday, sometimes several times a day! Foods, Exercises, Physically fit bodies, places I want to go and things I want to do!! Anything that is something to strive for or look forward to I put it on the edge of that mirror. SO when I do that one last check in the mirror before I sweep out the door I know what I want in LIFE!!! EVerything I want to live for is there: Prayer, Familiy, Friends.Healthy Lifestyle!

Off the couch, on the floor..

Determined to stay off the couch in the evening after a long day and exercise, I found if I sit on the floor I end up doing all my Calisthenics, yoga poses and stretching, while hanging with hubby and enjoying our tv show.

Set Monthly goals in Micro, Mini, Medium & Major. Blog these at the end of the month for the following month then adjust "other goals" for tracking, accountability & celebrating!! If you are a list person, this works!! Spark Streaks can be set to support each months goals. Micro & Mini goals tend to be the building blocks to medium/major goals. Just walk or 10 minutes...

Seriously this works every time. If I just don't feel like hitting the GYM I tell myself, "I'm just going to walk or do 10 minutes". Toss on your work out clothes and shoes & go out the door. I hit the gym and I am always excited that I pull through and do an amazing workout/run. I am NEVER beating myself up for going only if I don't at all!

Review and Tweak the Plan~

Whenever i'm getting off track or even when i'm feeling a little bored I look over my old blogs. Almost all of them give me a more positive perspective or solutions to what I want to tweak or change. Should I not feel more empowered or motivated to a new direction then I hit some of my SP friends blogs.

1/2 that portion...

Half that portion! I half the portion of whatever i'm about to eat. If it can't be halved without wasting part then I don't eat it Example: Sandwich you can half & save for later...cookie you would have to share if a person is available or throw the half away if you have no one to share it with. IF I would have to waste it then I don't eat it. Planning!

Fast breakfast that tastes like dessert!

Fast -- 1/2c chocolate soy milk (light, pre measured and frozen is best), blend with half a banana, 1tsp honey, couple drops of vanilla and a bit of flax seed. --- yummo!

Morning Prep

On mornings when I know I'm going to be rushed, the night before I will put EVERYTHING out. For example, if I want to have a fried egg on an english muffin with laughing cow cheese (a favorite breakfast of mine), I'll put out the small fry pan and in it I will put the PAM spray and a spatula. Then I will get a small plastic container and place one egg, one wedge of cheese, and my english muffin (after I slice it).

Plan ahead for healthy meals to grab and go

I make nutritious, satisfying pre-portioned meals ahead of time and keep them in the freezer to ensure I have something readily available when I'm crunched for time. If I have a few spare minutes while making dinner, I'll complete a prep item for the next day's meals. I have a cooler in the car with a frozen water bottle to keep things cool and fresh and then I have the water at the end of the day too! emoticon

Prep is the key!

I spend an hour on a Sunday preparing as much food as I can for the following week. For example I wash grapes and put them in separate containers. I chop lots of onion so I just have to grab a handful when making an omlete. It saves so much time when cooking!

Right When You Get Home from Grocery Shopping

It's true. The times I take to prep all my veggies after I get home from the store & before they get put away, the more I am apt to cook with them or snack from them because it takes less time when I want to cook or eat. Takes just a bit of time at first but pays off BIG later.... emoticon
