Sometimes we accidently let our minds run off with unwanted issues we need to deal with...making them more stressful/scary than they may be.The more we focus on the negative (what if's) & assume negative (reactions), the more it affects us negatively. CALM your mind. YOU CAN take charge of it calmly, peacefully, LEAD interactions & affect outcomes through YOUR behavior, words & actions. Stay in positive control of your mind. Aim to enter it in as relaxed state as you can.

I realize that everything only has the significance that I give it. It helps me realize that I am the only one that creates negative and positive impact on my mood. I now choose positive! EVEN in the face of serious negativity!
When in doubt, don't choose the easy way out!

when i feel that way I take a journal and write on one page and answer the negative ideas on the opposite page after taking a break. Often then I can respond as I would if answering a friend or colleague and listen to the positive side of myself.
When you feel your motivation waning, go clothes shopping. You'll either be pleasantly surprised at what size you fit into, or you will see how far you still have to go to reach your goals. A little reality check, either positive or negative, can be a good thing and really keep you motivated.
Me not eating 5 hours before bed every night helped me to lose 40lbs in 4 months. When I started eating before bed I gained my weight back. It was hard for me to lose weight when I was eating 5 hours or less before going to sleep.
This adaptation of the Serenity Prayer is a good reminder to take responsibility for your own body and health and not to be put off by other people's negativity: "Grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can and the wisdom to know it's me."
Letting go of toxic "friends" is just as important as surrounding yourself with positive people. All it takes is that one person that will delight in the back handed compliment or saying cutting or disparaging things. It is OKAY to distance yourself, in fact, you NEED to keep the negativity away.
