Have faith in yourself

Sometimes we accidently let our minds run off with unwanted issues we need to deal with...making them more stressful/scary than they may be.The more we focus on the negative (what if's) & assume negative (reactions), the more it affects us negatively. CALM your mind. YOU CAN take charge of it calmly, peacefully, LEAD interactions & affect outcomes through YOUR behavior, words & actions. Stay in positive control of your mind. Aim to enter it in as relaxed state as you can.

In a Rut

“If you find yourself stuck in a rut, don’t dig yourself deeper in with negative thoughts. Turn your thoughts to God, ask for His strength to sustain you, and keep your focus on the good things that lie ahead of you. By relying on God and keeping your thoughts positive, you’ll be moving forward again before you know it.” – Elmer Laydon

How to choose positive mood even WHEN your facing serious Negativity

I realize that everything only has the significance that I give it. It helps me realize that I am the only one that creates negative and positive impact on my mood. I now choose positive! EVEN in the face of serious negativity!

Don't choose the easy way out!

When in doubt, don't choose the easy way out!

It's easy to skip exercise, but the guilt is hard.
It's easy to have another helping, but hard to work those calories off.
It's easy to be negative, but hard to deal with the sadness.

Go with the harder option now to have an easier ride later.

Tough exercise is hard, but the results are good.
Lower (healthy) calorie intakes are hard, but the results are good.
Positive talk is hard, but the results are good.

Recognize Your Thoughts - Are They Negative or Positive

“What you think is what you become. Think negative and you become negative; think positive – you become positive. Try to focus your thoughts on God and His blessings in your life. We all have them – we might just need to recognize and appreciate them.” – Elmer Laydon

Defining You

Never let any one define who you are with negative comments. It will only temporarily derail your journey.

Fighting Negative thoughts and feelings

when i feel that way I take a journal and write on one page and answer the negative ideas on the opposite page after taking a break. Often then I can respond as I would if answering a friend or colleague and listen to the positive side of myself. emoticon

Clothes Shopping

When you feel your motivation waning, go clothes shopping. You'll either be pleasantly surprised at what size you fit into, or you will see how far you still have to go to reach your goals. A little reality check, either positive or negative, can be a good thing and really keep you motivated.

No eating 5 hours before bed

Me not eating 5 hours before bed every night helped me to lose 40lbs in 4 months. When I started eating before bed I gained my weight back. It was hard for me to lose weight when I was eating 5 hours or less before going to sleep.

Responsibility, serenity and change

This adaptation of the Serenity Prayer is a good reminder to take responsibility for your own body and health and not to be put off by other people's negativity: "Grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can and the wisdom to know it's me."

Toxic "Friends" - Let Them Go, Give Yourself Permission--It Is OKAY, I Promise!

Letting go of toxic "friends" is just as important as surrounding yourself with positive people. All it takes is that one person that will delight in the back handed compliment or saying cutting or disparaging things. It is OKAY to distance yourself, in fact, you NEED to keep the negativity away.
