Mind of Matter

It's all in your head. Set yourself out to do something and DO IT!! Don't slack on it either. I take 1 day at a time. If I fall off that day, I start all over the next. What keeps you motivated? Is it God? Religion? Your family? Yourself? You want a smaller size? Picture your new body and use your mind to get the results you want!! You can do whatever you want as long as you put your mind to it!!

Practice telling yourself "No!"

Foods can be addictive, or just strike up cravings that we feel we must indulge on. Practice saying "NO!" and prove to yourself you don't need extra portions or unhealthy foods!

Iceberg Lettuce, How I Love Thee...

Iceberg lettuce has a bad reputation. Which is a shame! So, here are some reasons why you should invite iceberg back into your healthy eating plan.
1. its inexpensive
2. mostly water (= hydration)
3. mostly fiber (= more fiber!! -wink, wink!)
4. adds bulk to regular salads (i.e. more food!! yay!)
5. neutral taste (you went to the trouble to make your own salad dressing you should at least taste it!) AND
6. memories (lunch box sandwiches! yum!)

Make up// Self esteem// confidence boost

I just wanted to share that will trying to lose weight, a few things helped me. I changed my diet and stopped eating meat..i reduced sugars because i love sweets!! I ordered the water dispensers for my home with helped me drink cold great water daily...and i used makeup! Which was something i never did but inbetween workout if i didnt lose weight or inches...Seeing a beautiful face in the mirror helped me to stay motivated. http://www.marykay.com/acart

Staying Motivated

The best way to stay motivated is to love yourself. I know this is hard for many but it can be accomplished. Stop the negative self-talk now. When you catch yourself thinking or saying something negative about yourself, stop and make yourself say something you like about yourself. You can break this habit and create a more positive one in its place!
You will find success when you truly take this journey for yourself.

Find what you love

For years I tried to convince myself that I needed to go to the gym to exercise. Fact is, I hate it and I would rather have a slap in the face.
You need to find what makes you feel good regardless of what others tell you. For me it's yoga. For someone else it might be jumping rope or kickboxing.
We should enjoy every step of the weight loss process and not feel miserable when we train our bodies.

Love yourself

Finally after being over-weight for a good 5 years I have finally learned to love myself. If you can't love yourself now the way you are you will never be happy even when you lose the weight. I finally accept myself for who I am and the weight I am at. Since December of last year (2010) to this date I have lost a solid 40 pounds. How much are you worth?

, If you're not being treated with love and respect, check your "Price Tag". Perhaps you have marked yourself down. It's "you" who tells people what you're worth by what you accept. Get off the "Clearance Rack" and get behind the glass where they keep all the VALUABLES. Bottom line...VALUE yourself more! - Useful advice for all of us at times!!! Love it then Split!

I will only eat "cheat" foods that I really LOVE. If I take a bite and it's just OK I give it away. For extra calories I MUST LOVE NOT LIKE them and then unless it is already a small portion I cut it in half and share! emoticon

Getting fit with your love makes for great motivation!
