One of the best things our family has learned to do when traveling is to fill up the hotel fridge with healthy options. Make one of your first stops in the new city a trip to the grocery store. Not only is it healthy, it can save you money!
When I'm out running errands and won't be home for lunch; I avoid the fast food drive through by packing a healthy meal (sandwich or salad ) in an ice filled cooler which I keep in the trunk of the car. That way I'm not tempted by french fries or chocolate shakes.
