I "vision collaged" my back of the door mirror, this way I "SEE" it all the time!!! Everyday, sometimes several times a day! Foods, Exercises, Physically fit bodies, places I want to go and things I want to do!! Anything that is something to strive for or look forward to I put it on the edge of that mirror. SO when I do that one last check in the mirror before I sweep out the door I know what I want in LIFE!!! EVerything I want to live for is there: Prayer, Familiy, Friends.Healthy Lifestyle!

Determined to stay off the couch in the evening after a long day and exercise, I found if I sit on the floor I end up doing all my Calisthenics, yoga poses and stretching, while hanging with hubby and enjoying our tv show.

Whenever i'm getting off track or even when i'm feeling a little bored I look over my old blogs. Almost all of them give me a more positive perspective or solutions to what I want to tweak or change. Should I not feel more empowered or motivated to a new direction then I hit some of my SP friends blogs.

I recently went on my FB and sent out a message looking for people to exercise with for five days a week after my work-out buddy and i developed conflicting schedules. To my surprise so many people were looking for the same thing. I find myself wanting to do even more so now I am exercising at home on my bike watching an hour long t.v. show first thing in the morning before I leave with a friend to where ever. Its great I'm able to be more motivated and its creating a lil club of our own!!

I have recently started a group of friends to exercise with since not everyone has schedules that match up if you have a group of exercise partners then it doesn't effect you if they "call in" you always have a back up partner and more motivation . The more the merry right??

Aside from Sparkpeople, I'm making a big effort to tell friends and family what I'm doing and what my goals are. As I've just started running, a friend who is training for a marathon is cheering me on, and everytime I reach a new running goal I can't wait to run to my phone and text my new achievement. The encouraging replies really make me feel good.

Keep Positive and gain support Over the last 5 months I have lost 10 kg which makes me feel great but I was only able to do it because I kept positive. It really does help and if you are able to get family, friends, collegues to support you to then that is even better.

I just did my first 5K since High School (10 years ago) with the help of the 5K your way program here. I was debating on doing it yesterday, and I got a Spark Goodie from a friend saying best wishes and it just made me get my butt out there and I did it!

One of the greatest ways to find support and encouragement is from others who share your same goals. A great icebreaker is to join teams that interest you. There you will already find great people whom you have something in common with right away!!

Be sure your friends are supporting you. Many will pretend they are then offer you cake and say 'you deserve it'. Stick to your rules and be sure your 'real' friends know them too :) xx

If you don't know; NOW you know! When you need motivating, call on your Spark friends!! We all struggle. We all have days, sometimes weeks when we just don't have the get up and go we need to...well, get up and go! When that happens, remember why you joined SparkPeople in the first place. Go to your main page and look at those friends and know they are out there just waiting to help you. All you have to do is ask. And while sometimes that's as hard as taking that first step in exercising, it will make all the difference!

When I'm feeling down or in a rut, I like to call a friend or family member that I haven't talked to in a while. Just a friendly conversation can turn my whole day around and remind me about all the good things I have in my life.

Tell your friends about your weight loss goals. Always be honest! Share when you succeed and when you don't. When you are truthful about your weight you will keep yourself in check. Tell yours friends how much you want to lose so they can help motivate you. When you have support it makes losing much easier.

i have found that if i let a few close friends know that i am working on myself, i am more motivated and positive with the situation and more apt to stay on track. When i didn't tell anyone, and attempted to do it myself, friends didn't know and offering me a large piece of cake or donut was nothing. Now that those close friend know that i'm working on myself, they don't offer me the big piece of cake but offer encouragement instead. Keep those close friends closer during this time.

My friends & I motivate each other by text! When one of us is about to exercise we'll text "Getting on my treadmill now, so get off your lazy butt and start running!" It holds us accountable and makes us feel like we have a partner there with us even though we're miles apart. We always push each other to strive for more by gently teasing each other with our texts, like "I'm almost done, get started!" or "Great Job! So proud of you!". It really has helped me and it makes working out fun.

I have found that letting others know (in life, on Facebook, etc.) has helped me stay motivated. People know I am trying to lose weight so I'm not going to want to go back on my goal! They also congratulate me which is a great reward when I post that I have lost more weight or can't find clothing that fits!
