Never dwell on past failures. We should learn from them, but we must always look ahead and try to do better tomorrow. Time only moves forward, as should we.
It's never ALL or NOTHING
So I made a bad choice at lunch, maybe had too many calories? Tough luck, kid, but don't think it has "ruined" your day. Take a walk or do some jumping jacks and make a better choice the next meal. You can't punish yourself forever. Accept it and do better next time.

We're all human, and we're living 'lives' while on this health journey. There are times when we will fall off track because of a bad day or a social event etc. The key is to accept it, forgive yourself and get back on track at the very next opportunity...which is always 'now!'
Plot your journey
I'm a really visual person and so I motivate myself by keeping a computer log of my body compostion (fat, muscle, water, weight), BMI and different types of activity on different graphs on a spreadsheet. Whenever I weigh myself i put the data in there as well as here and I can see how I'm doing.
