I knew I had to lose weight, so one day I decided to use a desert bowl for my cereals, fruits, and measuring most of my foods. I've been eating only one item every 2 to 3 hrs and so far I have lost 18 lbs. in 2 months.

It's Always easy to find an excuse to avoid excercise Next time you see your motivation falter, rather than seeking excuses that let you out of doing exercise, brainstorm the reasons for doing exercise. Additionally, I imagine how proud of myself I am when I have had a great workout. This helps motivate me to do it.
I look at my exercise routine in short increments. I know I have spent 10+ hours in front of a computer screen (I am an auditor) that 1-2 hours more before I can relax at the end of the day is nothing. Also, I make my plan the night before so there is little room to get off track. Then at the end of the week all of the small amounts of exercise I did add up to a lot. My plan is to keep doing this until it is a habit and then add a little bit more etch week. (Routine building for all u flybabies)
100lbs is a lot to lose and sometimes that number feels insurmountable but I have found that breaking up my weight loss journey into 4 smaller goals of 25lbs lost keeps me motivated and more focused. You can even go a step further and break 25lbs into bi-weekly 5lbs goals. It makes that big goal feel much smaller and in turn each milestone (5lbs, 25lbs, 50lbs, etc.) is a great reason to celebrate the newer, improved and healthier you! You can also apply this idea to physical activity!

Push play and commit to just 5 minutes I workout at home a lot and my way of getting my workouts in is to just commit to the first 5 minutes. Even if you dont feel like it just tell yourself "Im only doing 5 minutes and if I still doing feel like working out I'll turn it off" Every time that I've done that I end up doing the whole video. Once you get through the warm up section time just flies by because you're having fun. :)

Set aside your regular vacuum and shop vac your entire house..Realy picks up everything other vacuums leave behind and trust me, you get a great workout because of how hard shop vacs suck you have to keep pulling the house back and fourth.

starting is the first step. incorporate simple quick excercises through out the day, such as, a 10 minute walk, go up the stairs, do some weightlifting, pop in a video, dance around the house. simple steps will lead to more.

Avoiding Procrastination and Lack of Determination 9 mo. ago, I was on a roll. I walked everyday & I felt terrific! I was burning more calories than I would eat in a day which helped me lose more weight. Then life happened & I put off what I could do tomorrow. However, tomorrow never came. Don't stop doing what works, jump back up and keep walking.
