Love Soda?

I used to drink a lot of soda, but I'm not as tempted since I bought my Sodastream machine! I bought the Crystal Light Lemonade syrup for it and it gives my all the delicious fizzy goodness for only 5-10 cals a glass. An average glass of soda is over 100!

They make so many different flavours, and all syrups are less than half the cals of soda.

How do you like your WATER!

Everybody's bodies are different...some like it hot...some like it cold. It's no different with the water we drink. If you're struggling to drink your water quotient for the day maybe it's because of the temperature! I love hot foods and hot drinks...the thought of drinking cold water freaks me out...so I drink hot water (with a wedge of lemon, if possible) or room temperature water when I'm not near a kettle! It goes down so much easier than cold water!!

fill fuller

i drink one 8 oz glass of water before I put any food in my mouth. Makes me fill fuller quicker and I notice I am not hungry after eating my small meals or snacks. I never get headaches anymore ( dehydration is the number one reason for headaches) and I don't get thirsty anymore either ( which is your bodies way of telling you are already dehydrated) Water is a huge help for many things!!

When craving Soda...

I go for fizzy mineral water. But not the plain or the artificially sweetened, I go for the flavored. I get water in, I get my fizzy fix that I get from soda, and no calories!

Soda Addict?

I will admit that I am addicted to Coca-Cola. Diet Coke tastes DISGUSTING to me and Coke Zero is a little better, but still tastes weird to me. Recently, I discovered Diet Dr. Pepper. It is really good and doesn't taste diet-y at all! It really helps take the edge off my soda cravings and I don't have to worry about calories at all!

diet soda

I LOVED diet soda, have had it for YEARS. The last diet I was on said to not drink it. I thought I would not be able to handle that request! Well, I surely surprised myself. I have not had diet soda for over 1 year emoticon Plus I don't miss it either. I drink water and tea and coffee. Mostly water. I just forget to mark it off every day. emoticon

Starbucks Choices

You can make healthier choices when you treat yourself to a tasty Starbucks (or Barnes & Noble Cafe!) beverage: ask for skim milk (I believe the default is 2%, and remember that the soy milk isn't fat free). If you want a syrup - or if the drink comes with flavors-, ask if they have the sugar-free variety. Opt out of the whip cream - painful, I know, but the drinks are still tasty!

Craving a soda or beer, but avoiding sweeteners and alcohol? (Like me!)

When I am craving something bubbly, like a soda or beer, I have discovered the best substitute: sparkling water flavored with fruit essence! Not only do you avoid chemical sweeteners, but you also get 4-5 servings of water in a single bottle.

I hate water!!!

Secret: Buy fruit tea bags!!!

Put 1 fruit tea bag in 1bottle of cold water - it will add just enough of the tea 2 the water 2 give it a smell + a small taste.

The smell tricks your mind into thinking your drinking a fruit drink, the taste will be enough 2 get past the non-existent water taste.

Lighten up your lemonade

I love lemonade and other tart juices, but sometimes they're too strong. Mixing them with water makes the flavor milder and saves on calories at the same time!

Get Water In Early

I drink a full bottle of water (16.9 oz) every morning before breakfast, then another one with breakfast. That gets me 4 of my 8 daily cups. The last two are easy after that!

Water with a twist

When eating out, I always ask for ice water with a lemon slice.
It encourages me to drink my water, the lemon cuts the chlorine in the water, and makes it easier to drink. It also saves money to drink water.

Super Yummy Green Smoothies!

I make a green smoothie most mornings to give my fruit and veggie intake a kick start. Simple combinations of mildly flavored greens and delicious fruits can pack in as many as 5 or 6 servings in one go! These are scrumptious and portable. Don't let the color scare you :)
