I used to drink a lot of soda, but I'm not as tempted since I bought my Sodastream machine! I bought the Crystal Light Lemonade syrup for it and it gives my all the delicious fizzy goodness for only 5-10 cals a glass. An average glass of soda is over 100!

Overcome Cravings with Tea/Coffee I always experience a food craving after lunch. To keep myself busy and tasty,I make myself a cup of tea or coffee. When I have coffee I add a stevia sweetener and semi-skimmed milk. It saves me calories and I feel satisfied.

I bought 2 small cups that hold exactly 8 ounces of water! For some reason I find it easier to drink 8 small cups than make myself drink a huge water bottle! It breaks the water up into little servings and since I am always pouring it fresh each time, the water is cold! :)

Take a bottle water and calculate how many of that bottle you need to drink in a day. Add rubber bands around the bottle in the morning and take one off for each bottle you drink. Once all the rubber bands are off, you finished your water for the day !

Dink something when you are hungry
Drink something with no calories when you are hungry that isn't sweet. Try water or decaf coffee without sweetener. It really helps.

We buy bottled water, so at the start of each day I put 4 bottles of water on my side kitchen counter, whch is equal to 8 glasses. I try to have mini goals in mind, such as by lunch I should be going for the 2nd bottle, by mid afternoon the 3rd and by dinner time the last one. I often find myself getting a 5th bottle out after dinner. I also find I drink more water when I pour it into a cup.

I have found that if I drink my water out of my FAVORITE water bottles, i drink more. I splurged and bought one that has is pretty, and a friend gave me a great pink one with a leak proof straw. Point is, i really like them. It makes me more likely to drink out of them.

Of all of the tips I learned while losing weight, drinking my water at room temp was the most life-changing for me! I had been sipping my cold water all day until I discovered (learned from a seasoned dieter) that if I drink my water at room temp I could gulp it down in seconds. 2 litres of water has been a minimum of water intake for me since then...for the last 2 years...and it is EASY.

Does your diet soft drink do it for you?
For a long time I could not stand the taste of diet soft drink, the aspartame in Diet Soft drinks causes a very unpleasant aftertaste.

Drink at least 3 of your 8 glasses a day before or during breakfast. You're almost halfway to your daily goal and the day has just begun!

I like to put a little bit of orange juice in my water. Not enough to be too sweet, but just enough flavor it.

If you've never felt full, this is how to do it. I can't afford to get the lapband, but I went to the "meeting" to check it out years ago. I left thinking, well maybe the after surgery rules might help now. So, I tried the eating & drinking seperately. For the very first time in my life, I understood what "my" full felt like. And I finally knew where my stomach was. Wasn't where I thought.

A Simple & Refreshing Hot Drink--A mug Of Hot Water With A Lemon Slice
I was reading about Marissa Tomei in a health magazine and it said in the mornings, she didn't drink coffee, but that she would have a mug of hot water with a slice of lemon as a refreshing beverage. I tried it myself this morning and it really is good!

For many people drinking water is the most difficult part of their nutrition plan. I always mix plain water with sparkling water (app 3:1). It tastes great! I can't stop drinking it!

Sneak a Water - Call it Gin and Tonic! I go out with my friends at least once a week for drinks. But upon seeing that a couple of gin and tonics are like 300 calories, I've put the brakes on. Now, I'm sneaking a water on the rocks with a lime (looks just like a gin and tonic), and my waistline AND my wallet are thanking me.

I broke this habit months ago and only have a soda once or twice a week now. Strated by only drinking diet sodas, then organic sodas, and now an occasional.
