Determined to stay off the couch in the evening after a long day and exercise, I found if I sit on the floor I end up doing all my Calisthenics, yoga poses and stretching, while hanging with hubby and enjoying our tv show.

Whenever i'm getting off track or even when i'm feeling a little bored I look over my old blogs. Almost all of them give me a more positive perspective or solutions to what I want to tweak or change. Should I not feel more empowered or motivated to a new direction then I hit some of my SP friends blogs.

If you get up and dance to just three songs a day, you'll get in your 10 mins.. Do it to 9 songs and you've gotten in 30.. Most songs average 3-3.5 minutes.

I downloaded music from all my favorite musicals and I dance and walk to my tunes. I love to sing along and groove to the music. I have everything from Sweeney Todd to Wizard of Oz and this even helps when I am cleaning. I belt out the songs and have fun with it. Best of luck everyone=]

Cardiovascular exercise is excellent for strengthening your heart and lungs as well as being a great fat burner. But you don't have to stick to running or speed walking to do it. Try dancing, hula hooping, jumping rope or calisthenics. They're fun ways to sweat and burn calories!

Get Up & Move Playlist + Housework = Workout! I made myself a "get up and move" motivational playlist at playlist.com and I listen to it first thing every day. My young daughter and I dance/sing to/with the songs while I clean up from the previous day's activities. It's fun and it gets in a little cardio that doesn't feel like anything other than crazy good times and the music that I chose for my playlist is the sort of music that always starts the day off on the right foot.

Signing up for a class will bring results. Everyone has to start somewhere! You will commit to yourself by putting the time on your schedule. You will learn how to do something you never tried OR improve to do it better. You'll be with others with like interests and have a built in support system. You may even find a new pursuit or become good enough to teach it yourself.

Have you ever tried Zumba? If not, it is my exercise/weight-loss secret that is not so much a secret any more.... Each class gets you moving, shaking, dancing, smiling, and having a blast! I love it so much that I am now a certified instructor... and I've lost nearly 40 pounds just by dancing, sweating, and having FUN!!

I am not an avid exerciser, but I found another one that is fun. WII has a game called "Samba De Amigo" that is fun and works like a low impact aerobic. You have to remember to move your feet and hips as well as your arms, but it's easy. I makes it fun and takes the work out of workout.

You can benefit from multiple cardio sessions throughout the day. If you cannot get in a single 30-45 minute session, 3 or 4 10-15 minute sessions can help you too. So if you don’t have the time to do it all at once, break it up throughout your day.

So often people think of exercise as a chore. I know I used to. January of 2009 I changed that mentality and joined a women's only dance studio. I danced my weight off. Later I incorporated riding my bike and roller blading. The main thing is if I don't love it I won't do it so find things you love.
Ballroom dancing burns over 500 calories per hour and the hours fly by. Fun, exciting, variety of styles and partners, what's not to like about ballroom dancing?

Dance Dance...It's a Revolution!!! I like to Play Dance Dance Revolution (DDR)!! It has a dance pad, and easy to hard steps and great music! I get into it with friendly competitions, and trying to beat my best scores. Before I know it I'm sweting up a storm, and way out of breath while an hour has gone by!

I can do anything for 10 minutes! On days I really don't want to exercise, I tell myself, "I can do ANYTHING for 10 minutes." I try to do at least 10 minuts of cardio and at least 10 minutes of strength 5 days a week. This is a do-able amount of time for me.

I had to get creative after surgery on both of my feet. YOUTUBE to the rescue! In addition to videos for chair aerobics, I also use ZUMBA videos and follow along most of the arm movements. FUN and calories burned from the chair. Great work out.
