Rewarding Success

If I keep within my calorie count, I give myself a small reward after posting all my food for the day. I have 30 sugar-free chocolate covered peanuts in a little box I made in my first pottery class (1 for each day of the month). If I've stayed within my calorie range I reward myself with a single peanut. The feeling that I've earned it seems to make it taste wonderful AND I'm proud to watch the pile go down.

Holiday meal pretrials

try low calorie sides and entrees a couple of times before the holidays to ensure they work and will be enjoyed, add them to the meal and subtract the higher calorie item next time

Staying on Track

We all know our big goal. To get there, I think it's imperative to have a series of small, reachable goals that we can hit at least once a month. Make them specific but not 'hard'. Ex: work out every day - hard; effective work out 3 times this week - easy. 2# this week-hard. 5# this month-easy
