Instead of buying a full size cake for my birthday yesterday, friends bought cake pops! Perfect! Gave me the feeling of a treat but a much smaller size and no feeling of deprivation that may have caused me overeat later on a different occasion (we've been there/done that before, right?).

This is the way it was given to me. Make adjustments to lower calories.
I started chewing EXTRA DESSERT DELIGHTS SUGAR FREE GUM! Comes in 3 flavors: Key Lime Pie, Strawberry Shortcake, and Mint Chocolate Chip. WOW these are so good. I realized that I eat junk sweets because of the taste. This is just great tasting & SLIMMING. I have also added broth to my diet. So now I drink water plus broths like those that Knox makes. A cup of broth before dinner helps me to eat less food.

Since it is your special day let your family or friends know what type of cake or cake substitute you would like! Don't let a friend's good intention be your demise, request what is good for your thighs!

If you're craving something sweet I highly recommend making a "Graham Cracker Pudding Cake".

Baking - Substitute Apple Sauce For Oil Instead of oil, substitute an equal amount of no added sugar (with out artificial sweeteners) apple sauce for oil. This works great in cakes, etc.

You can have your cake and eat it too! Eat light before the party. Make your balanced plate. If you still want to indulge, only have a 1 or 2-bite taste of the offerings. Take half your cake or your plate home to enjoy tomorrow. Choose what you really want or know you'll enjoy.

If you have a craving that lasts a little while, go ahead and give in but only eat a piece of what you are craving. And no more than the serving size. To prevent you from going back and chowing down more, brush your teeth and keep some sugar free gum on you.
