Read even the Healthy Food ingredient lists, SNEAKY Food industry!
Be sure to read all packaged food labels. The food industry is sneaky with the chemicals and word replacements. Soy and sugar replacements seem to be in everything!

I "vision collaged" my back of the door mirror, this way I "SEE" it all the time!!! Everyday, sometimes several times a day! Foods, Exercises, Physically fit bodies, places I want to go and things I want to do!! Anything that is something to strive for or look forward to I put it on the edge of that mirror. SO when I do that one last check in the mirror before I sweep out the door I know what I want in LIFE!!! EVerything I want to live for is there: Prayer, Familiy, Friends.Healthy Lifestyle!

Determined to stay off the couch in the evening after a long day and exercise, I found if I sit on the floor I end up doing all my Calisthenics, yoga poses and stretching, while hanging with hubby and enjoying our tv show.

Goal Setting for motivation, planning, actions & SUCCESS!
Set Monthly goals in Micro, Mini, Medium & Major. Blog these at the end of the month for the following month then adjust "other goals" for tracking, accountability & celebrating!! If you are a list person, this works!! Spark Streaks can be set to support each months goals. Micro & Mini goals tend to be the building blocks to medium/major goals. This way you don't get over whelmed or miss steps. You set up your training and prep. My monthly blogs are helping me!! Check them out!

Seriously this works every time. If I just don't feel like hitting the GYM I tell myself, "I'm just going to walk or do 10 minutes". Toss on your work out clothes and shoes & go out the door. I hit the gym and I am always excited that I pull through and do an amazing workout/run. I am NEVER beating myself up for going only if I don't at all!

Whenever i'm getting off track or even when i'm feeling a little bored I look over my old blogs. Almost all of them give me a more positive perspective or solutions to what I want to tweak or change. Should I not feel more empowered or motivated to a new direction then I hit some of my SP friends blogs.

When writing a blog, I wait to title it until after it is written. That allows me to make sure my title summarizes the blog appropriately. This way while writing the blog I can be more open rather than just writing about the topic I started with.

When you need a reason to get back on track, stay motivated, whatever... Look back. Look back to when you first started your journey. How did you feel? What did you want? How does that compare to now? What have you learned since then? Too often we forget what we've accomplished and let negative thoughts into our lives.

Half that portion! I half the portion of whatever i'm about to eat. If it can't be halved without wasting part then I don't eat it Example: Sandwich you can half & save for later...cookie you would have to share if a person is available or throw the half away if you have no one to share it with. IF I would have to waste it then I don't eat it. Planning!

What I found really helped me was to Blog EVERY DAY about the challenges that I overcame that day. It didn't matter if I wasn't perfect for the day. My focus was the one or two challenges that I was successful with! I did this for 130 days in a row! By being committed to blogging it made me come to Spark daily and then I'd "roam" around and all those things would help me keep going! I need to get back to that! Wanna join me? Today is Day #1 :)

Fast breakfast that tastes like dessert!
Fast -- 1/2c chocolate soy milk (light, pre measured and frozen is best), blend with half a banana, 1tsp honey, couple drops of vanilla and a bit of flax seed. --- yummo!

Document every step of your journey by taking pictures, writing in a journal, blogging, etc. As you work toward your goal, your journey will be a source of inspiration on the tougher days. And it will become a testament to your determination when you get to the finish line.

Blogging in Sparks helps with motivation. Just by accident, I have learned that when I blog once a day, the process itself gives me encouragement; just the writing itself, no matter what it is. Plus, others read it, people I don't know, and they encourage me too! It has been great! So, I will keep it up.

Sometimes I really don't feel like writing my blog, but I do it anyway. It helps me bring clarify to my thoughts. If I've had a good day I can write it and know that others will celebrate with me. If I messed up just saying so helps me move forward.

If you have the chance to log your meal or snack right away while you are eating or or directly after, you won't have to try to remember what you ate throughout the day and this way, you are less likely going to forget what you ate when its time to log it in.

Every time I've hit a low, this magic trick has worked for me: send a shout out on Spark-- a blog, a help line on a team conversation, a huddle...the reassurance that others who have been there are there for you now makes it impossible to stay negative for very long.

Brag about your accomplishments Tell the world how awesome you are, even if it's for something small. Post it in your status, shout it out in your blog. Give yourself the praise you deserve! Toot your own horn! This will help you focus on the positives rather than focusing on the work remaining to be done.
