This is a great trick to use during the holidays!
Buy meat in bulk... divide ground beef, chicken, etc... Freeze in individual portions in Ziplock baggies... when you want to make a dish, you just grab a bag... defrosts quick... also cheaper than buying smaller packages.
When you brown ground beef... don't just strain it. Rinse it. You keep the flavor and save fat & calories. This tip is especially useful when yuo compare super lean ground beef to regular ground beef.
