Be sure to read all packaged food labels. The food industry is sneaky with the chemicals and word replacements. Soy and sugar replacements seem to be in everything!

Vision Board & GOALS

I "vision collaged" my back of the door mirror, this way I "SEE" it all the time!!! Everyday, sometimes several times a day! Foods, Exercises, Physically fit bodies, places I want to go and things I want to do!! Anything that is something to strive for or look forward to I put it on the edge of that mirror. SO when I do that one last check in the mirror before I sweep out the door I know what I want in LIFE!!! EVerything I want to live for is there: Prayer, Familiy, Friends.Healthy Lifestyle!

Off the couch, on the floor..

Determined to stay off the couch in the evening after a long day and exercise, I found if I sit on the floor I end up doing all my Calisthenics, yoga poses and stretching, while hanging with hubby and enjoying our tv show.

Only eat when you're hungry

This is a simple idea, but a easy one. Well easy to me. But looking at my current weight you wouldn't think so. Anyway it's simple really.
Only eat when you're hungry, and stop when you're not.
That's it. One sentence and it can change your life. I just need to start using it again myself. And that starts today. Hope it will help my new friends too emoticon

1/2 that portion...Break
fast,
Lunch, Dinner

Half that portion! I half the portion of whatever i'm about to eat. If it can't be halved without wasting part then I don't eat it Example: Sandwich you can half & save for later...cookie you would have to share if a person is available or throw the half away if you have no one to share it with. IF I would have to waste it then I don't eat it. Planning!

MEP Balance

MEP Balance is something that I use to measure my current state of being. When my MEP is in balance I find it is easier to exercise or eat healthier because I am in a positive place.

M = Mental health
E = Emotional well-being
P = Physical health

Staying positive leads to better emotional well-being. Being positive helps keep my mental health in the "happy" range. The happier I am, the less likely I am to do things that will make me sick or damage my body. Balance - it does a body good!

Do what you want!

$100,000 dollar income would be nice wouldn't it? But that doesn't make a person happy, in the end, only you can make yourself happy, so do what you want as a job, and if you like it you will succeed in life. You might not die a millionaire but you will at least die a happy person.

Never Give Up

When I weigh in for the week and the number on the scale isn't the one I wanted to see, I don't freak out over it, I don't beat myself up or decide to give up. Instead I take a good long look at myself in the mirror and find five things that I like about my body. Five things that I didn't like BEFORE I started eating and acting healthy and I remind myself that I'm happier than I've been in my life.

Find the good

When things look bad and you are frustrated, upset, and just not feeling happy find what you can be thankful for. If your kid is crying and getting on your nerves be thankful you haver a kid to do that. How many people don't have one.

A Journal For Joy

I love to write and anybody who knows me knows I keep many journals. One I keep is called a Humour Journal, another a Blessings Journal and a Happy Journal. They sound similar but are different. When I am feeling down I pick up one of these and flip through my entries and it picks my mood up.
