Gluten free diet

I have a friend who has Celiac disease. As a challenge I told him I would try going a week without eating breads chips, or anything w/ gluten in it so I could appreciate what his diet is like. Turns out, I felt GREAT after that week, so I decided to try to go longer....

That was over a month ago, & I'm still gluten free. My appetite has shrunk like you would not believe! I don't even miss the bread anymore, and I've lost 11 lbs since!

Wheat and Gluten Free Eating

I removed wheat from my diet two weeks ago and am eating very low carb, checking all foods on the Glycemic Index before they are allowed in my menu planning. I do not try to limit healthful fats such as olive oil, avocados, nuts, but I do keep my total calories under 1500, and under 400 per meal.

Rudi's Gluten free bread

My normal bread is Udi's but I tried this bread a few days ago and it is a winner also. It will be my first choice because you get a larger slice of bread for the same calories.

Gluten Free Diet

Idea for Sparkpeople
I would love and I know that lots of other people would love it if there was more GF products listed on the food list.
One of the things that takes up my time is typing in all my GF products and their values. I know its a big job but not as big as regular food products as there arent as many of them.

Difficult start to H20 and Breakfast?

I have never been one to eat breakfast unless it involved a drive through and water? It was foreign. I started filling up 8 bottles of H2O and when I cooked made healthy almond meal pancakes and freezing 2 at a time. Quick microwave when I am getting ready. Water and Breakfast - with fruit.
