I LOVE corn on the cob but the butter we lather on it is killer. Now I use "pam" type spray instead. Just spray it on instead of butter and add salt. It sticks just like butter because of the spray. What would I do without my Pam?!?!? Try it, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

No Butter No Sugar Sugar Cookies My husband and I are both Type 2 diabetics and he has heart problems but we love a good old fashion Sugar Cookie! We found that Smart Balance butter substitute and Splenda let us continue to indulge! Just be careful when selecting Splenda as it also has a half Splenda half real sugar product.

I love Laughing Cow lite cheese & use it to spread on the bread for a sandwich instead of mayo, or over a stick of celery & put pistachio nuts in it for a super snack...then discovered it's great for replacing butter in mashed potatoes! YUM!

Mix butter with olive oil to create a healthier spread. I take a stick of butter and then let it soften. slowly mix in same amount of olive oil, using a fork. I do not know whose idea this was originally. But it is heart- healthier than butter ..and cheaper than those expensive butter subsitutes.

I don't put any butter or margarine on my sandwich or toast if I'm putting something else on/in it such as jam, cheese, egg, ham etc. I can't tell the difference and save myself quite a few calories.
