Sometimes we focus on what we're lacking so much that we fail to realize just all we have been given. Challenge yourself to list things you are grateful for regularly. This can be especially helpful when you are feeling really down or sorry for yourself.
I love to write and anybody who knows me knows I keep many journals. One I keep is called a Humour Journal, another a Blessings Journal and a Happy Journal. They sound similar but are different. When I am feeling down I pick up one of these and flip through my entries and it picks my mood up.
When all around you seems undone, stop, take a deep breath, blow it out slowly, and think, I am alive, I am happy, I am loved, I am blessed. Thank you!
