The lovely man sitting across the aisle from me has a candy bowl constantly filled with my favorite chocolates. I finally made a sign for myself - in colors - with clip art - saying "TRULY" (in green) "No More Candy" (in black) "Do this for youself" (in blue) and "LOVE YOURSELF" (in big red letters) with pictures of the Willendorf Goddess, Aphrodite, and hearts around the "LOVE YOURSELF" - then underneath, I pinned up pictures of me when I weighed 315 pounds as reminders. It's working great!
Use extra virgin olive oil, or jojoba oil to remove make-up, especially waterproof eyeliner and mascara. I tried a sample of some really expensive stuff, and it worked like magic.... then found out it was nothing more than olive oil! Pour out about a half a teaspoon into your hands, rub them together and massage into your face and eye area. Use a soft, warm washcloth to remove the oil and makeup, then apply toner and moisturizer. Your skin will feel like a million bucks!
I love Oikos Plain Greek Yogurt mixed with vanilla, Splenda and Polaner Sugar-Free Strawberry preserves with Fiber. I used to make it by the cup. Recently, the store didn't have the large containers, so I had to buy the little 4-oz jobbies, and I decided to make my snack with those instead of the full cups. It's just as good, and I'm just as satisfied, and it does the dual job of saving calories and carbs, in addition to saving money!
When I'm having a particularly hard day dealing with cravings, I tell myself...."Just for the next hour, I will not eat that piece of chocolate".... or "just for the next half hour, I will not have that piece of banana nut bread", and then when I've made it through that far, I restate the goal..."just for another hour, I will not have that piece of cake".... breaking things into manageable units makes it easier to do, for some people.
I weigh out Foster Farms grilled chicken breast strips, cooked tilapia or cod, or tuna salad, a small container of Dijonnaise, grab a Fiber One yogurt, a Weight Watchers String Cheese stick, cantaloupe or other melon, & an individual package of jerky. High protein, low carb, low fat...ready to go!
I use Oikos or Fage plain Greek yogurt (1 C), & add 1 tsp of real vanilla extract, two packets of Splenda, & 2 tbsp of Polaner Sugar-Free Strawberry Preserves with Fiber. It stirs up into a very thick, yummy, satisfying dessert with very high protein, low carbs, and low calories.
I'm in a size 10 pants....but my daughter gave me several pairs of size 8s....I tried them on, but there is no way I can get them zipped...she said "That's okay, Mom...just call them your 'goal pants'!" They're designer jeans, too... so I can't wait to fit into them! I'm staying on track easily!
I REALLY dislike plain water, and I am under a physician's mandate to get at LEAST 25 grams of fiber per day, so I found Crystal Light with Fiber!! 3 20 oz bottles of water with packets of this in them, along with a bowl of Fiber One cereal, and I'm good for the day!!
Fill the bottom of your pot about half full will packing peanuts, then fill the rest of the way with potting soil. Add your plant, and water! Pot will not be so heavy to move around, soil will drain better, and plants will be much happier!
