Use a HR Monitor

Check your heart rate! For me, this is reinforces how I'm feeling - yes, I *am* working hard, and I deserve it! I don't have a fancy monitor, and it was under $40, but it does the trick.

Morning Workout Light

It can be difficult even getting out of bed in the winter, but if you wake up when it 's still dark and start your day with a cardio DVD, try working out in low light. I find that it's more comfortable, peaceful, and easier to finish a full workout in dim light than in bright light. Just make sure you don't have any tripping hazards.
