WHAT NEXTS

I am trying to get my life to a certain order & it will take time. I know first I have to get myself too a point that I have the strength to take on more. Life may take a turn in January when I go to the DR. may have to start chemo, hope not. I am going to write a schedule on what I want to do & how to go about it. I have to make calls & find out when groups, clubs meet. Then get my self in a sleep, wake up schedule. My eating is good & exercise just schedule it all together. Want to live. emoticon

Eat your veggies

Buy local veggies each week and cook what is in season. Make sure your spice drawer is stocked and mix it up!

"Do It Yourself" Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate

"Hi Mom, I'm addicted to the salted caramel hot chocolate at "Star..." and wondered if you wanted me to get you one too". Ah, the temptation, I thought when my daughter called with this offer. I graciously declined and then my wheels started turning. So here's the "no guilt" version. You can even add a scant teaspoon of Smucker's Caramel Sundae syrup or a bit of non-dairy creamer. Now, I'm addicted... emoticon emoticon

HAVE ANTS?

Here is another solution to get rid of ants inside the house or garage. Use baby powder. They hate it. Just put the baby powder where the ants are coming in. I put some baby powder in a washed out hair coloring bottle with the skinny tip so I can get into the cracks or where they are coming in. And whatever powder is left on the floor I just brush away. This has really worked for me.

Old Electric Toothbrush Heads

You know the little areas that you seem to have a hard time cleaning because you can't get to it. Well, here is a solution. Keep the old toothbrush heads to you electric tooth brush. I use it to clean my rings, fine pieces of jewelry, around the sink handles and just little areas I can't seem to get really clean. A regular toothbrush works but, with the electric toothbrush is easier on the hands.

To Clean Cutting Boards

To clean cutting boards that are used for produce, try one of these three options.
1. The Environmental Protection Agency notes that soap and water kills bacteria. Wash the cutting board with soap & water ( use real liquid soap, such as Dr. Bronnerís). Scrub with a sturdy scrub brush, to get into all the nooks and crannies.
2. Wash with 3 percent hydrogen peroxide alternating with straight white distilled vinegar. Let each material rest on the cutting board for 10 minutes before rinsing. con't

Parsley - a natural, home grown breath freshener

Freshly picked parsley is one of the most effective breath fresheners available because the plant's green chlorophyll neutralises odours.
Parsley plants can be easily grown in the garden or in a pot, so there is really no excuse for not having some available.

Baby Food Containers

Baby food jars, and especially the small plastic Gerber tubs, work wonderfully for organizing the junk drawer. We have one for buttons, safety pins, nails, screws etc.

Only On The Days That I Eat

A diabetic educator said diabetics should exercise only on the days that we eat. I try to remember this. Exercise is vital to help keep my blood glucose levels down.
