I find one way to really motivate myself when I'm feeling lazy is to post a facebook message about what class I'm going to take at the gym that night! I'd hate for someone to ask me about it later and have to admit I was too lazy, tired, etc to go to the class, so this way I force myself to go. And I find it's true what people say: you'll always regret skipping a workout but you never regret doing one!
To make sure I'm not wasting $ each month on my gym membership, I keep a note posted on my fridge. At the beginning of each month, I write $54 (my monthly gym fee). Each time I go to the gym, I divide the total paid by the number of trips to the gym (i.e. keeping track of how much each trip to the gym is costing me). That way seeing the larger numbers inspires me to go to the gym to get my money's worth!
