Put down the frozen, processed, low-cal, low-carb, low-fat franken foods! When I cook with just a few quality, fresh, whole ingredients, I find I am satisfied with a smaller portion. Nothing beats fresh produce, in-season, from a local farmer. Look for quality organic local meats and keep your costs down by reducing your portion sizes. You'll lose weight, put better fuel in your body, and support your local food systems, all at once.
