Put a Lid on the Salt

Cooking w/o salt means softer beans and more flavorful seasonings. Using canned foods means you'll be getting plenty of salt without adding your own. Let your spices be your friend.

Eating the Fruits of the Woods

Do you know anyone who hunts? WIld game meats are more nutritious than store-bought counterparts. Hunters are usually happy to share their harvest. Offering to cook the meat and return a portion of the food is a great way to keep your freezer stocked with meat. Don't be afraid of the "gamey" taste: a soak in milk for a day usually pulls all the "strange" flavor from the meat.

Water Glasses

I use a clear GLASS. I measure the number of glasses it holds before using it. At work I use a 24 oz. glass. I go with 9-12 cups a day given my weight and that I'm flushing toxins before they impact my system.

3 cups (one glass) before lunch, another for lunch. Then a third before heading home.
