Don't Set Limits for Yourself

Stop telling yourself what you can't do and instead focus on the things you can do and are doing. You will be amazed at the things you will accomplish when you tell yourself "I can do this" and then keep moving forward towards your goals!!!

Eat to Lose

Exercising & eating from all of the food groups has been my secret to success. I've also added fiber to my tracker to help me make sure I get in my healthy grains, fruits and veggies. I also have 3 servings of dairy. I'm a firm believer that you have to eat to lose. It works... I've lost 35lbs.

Modify Exercise Classes

When taking a class, don't stop if you can't do the full version workout...just do the modified version and keep going back. You'll be amazed at what you can build up to if you just keep trying. Persistence pays off.

Water...it does a body good!

I drink at least 24oz of water first thing in the morning to make sure I'm hydrated before exercising...and I usually drink another 24oz while exercising. It's a good way to get most of your water in before lunch. The last two cups are a breeze! Cheers! emoticon

Skinny Cow Low Fat Ice Cream Sandwiches

When I look for a treat I like to make sure it has some nutritional value. These are great because they only have 140 calories and 1.5 grams of fat. The carbs are a little high at 30 grams, sugar is 15 grams, however they do have 3 grams of fiber and 4 grams of protein. Just Yummy!

Spreading the Spark

Sounds simple, but one of the best ways I stay motivated is by spreading the Spark. I love to visit pages and give goodies! It feels great to do something kind for someone. By doing that I learn something from those that I visit and it inspires me to stick with it! emoticon

This may sound boring, simple or too easy but logging, journaling and tracking daily are the dynamic trio to success. If you are committed, you can accomplish anything!!! My new mantra is...NOTHING tastes as good as HEALTHY feels! You can do it!!! emoticon

Yummy Healthy Fat

This is my favorite snack of the day... 'Emerald Cocoa Roast Almonds'. It's a great way to get some healthy fat in and satisfy that need for a taste of chocolate. A 1oz/28 grams serving is only 150 calories. Just Yummy!!! I got them from Sam's Club.

Variety

I love variety when exercising. I try classes, machines, activities at least 3 times before making a final decision of whether I like it or not. I love trying new things. It keeps me motivated, moving and keeps me from getting bored.
