Just Play!

Every day does not have to be a full workout. Nor does it have to be a "keep track" of calories, steps, miles, etc. Just go out and play. Feel the air in your lungs. Marvel that you're breathing better. Bend and stretch. Reach for that frisbee or foot-, basket-, or soccer ball!). Be grateful that it didn't hurt!

Extend your life

Did you know that for every one hour of exercise you do, you extend your expected lifespan by 2 hours? It is like putting extra time in a savings account! For every 12 hours, you add a full day! So get moving!

Keep your eye on the prize!

Whenever I think about skipping my daily walk or a day at the gym, I just remember why I'm doing this: my health! And, as I see results, no matter how small or trivial they may seem, it motivates me to keep going. The end result of this lifestyle change is getting my health, and my life, back!

No matter how many times you think you've failed ....

You can try again really you can. I had just about given up trying to lose this excess weight. Looking for the miracle answer I didn't know where to turn. Finally after realizing I had the answer right in front of me in my living room. I have all the books based upon The Biggest Loser plan and I started reading them. I realized that actually reading about a full lifestyle change plan then implementing it is the thing that works. The key is not just to be motivated by need to get healthy but ....

When I'm Just Too Tired to Exercise

When I think I'm just too tired to exercise, I commit to do 10 minutes of light exercise. If I'm tired after 10 minutes, I'm allowed to quit. But 95%+ percent of the time I feel better after 10 minutes and go on to get a good workout.

Don't Give Up!

I lost over 30 lbs in about a year, and my biggest revelation was that you CAN change your body drastically if you really want to. It's not just an infomercial gimmick! LOL
So my advice is DON'T BE DISCOURAGED if you don't get instant results ... and before you know it, you'll be noticing little things (jeans are too big, you don't get winded as quickly) that will re-inspire you and keep you going!

3 of 3 Daily Things I Do

Every night I fill up 8 water bottles. The next day they are all cold and ready to grab. Also, I can see throughout the day how I'm doing. It actually is a good feeling filling them knowing that I got my water in!
