I tend to take a lot of little nibbles throughout the day. To make sure that I account for those snacks I premeasure a portion of each go-to snack food. Now I can track exactly how much I have eaten. I can count the full portion on one day or break it up over the 3-4 days it takes me to eat it.
Keep your exercise clothes beside your bed and put them on before you leave your room. Do the normal things you do then get outside for a walk or if it is awful out, turn on an exercise video. Heck, just turn on some music and dance. You are going to feel a lot better believe me.
Rather than worrying, "How will I ever make time to exercise?", I find as many chances as I can to squeeze exercise into my day. 1-legged squats while waiting for my dog as he sniffs on walks, leg extensions while sitting at my desk. Chasing the dog while cleaning the house. Fun!
If you work in an office setting or spend a lot of time sitting there is a good way to get at least 10 minutes of activity every hour. you can set your watch for an alrm to go off after fifty minutes, then get up and move around. My office is in my home and if I know I am going to be logging a lot of time sitting down I use and egg timer. I set it for fifty minutes and when it dings I get up for ten minutes and move around. Then I reset the timer
I love Maple flakes. They taste great on my oatmeal. You can also add it to yogurt, sprinkle it on fresh fruit or berries. Add a small amount to sweeten cream or flavor your stir-fry. A small amount goes a long way.
When I have a long to-do list, I set the timer for 30 minutes and work at full speed for that time. When the timer dings, I set it for 15 - 30 minutes and spend that time sparking, reading, or doing something for ME. I get all my chores done but don't feel like I've work4ed all day.
I track all my food and exercise... I eat in range but I am no longer loosing... I have neve been good at drinking water but now that I am stuck, I will try to track my water! and stop the craving too! A secret: that work for me, check out what you drink! Cut on coffee creamer, sugar, coffee syrup, soda and juice!
I have been adding bell peppers and mushrooms or any other veggie that goes with the meal to ground meats when I cook them. This is a great way to add the extra nutrients and fiber into meal and helps in getting those five a day!
