Affordable makeup brushes

If you wear makeup, then you probably know how expensive makeup brushes can be. Well, rather than pay the inordinate sums that drugstores and cosmetic stores charge, I went to a craft store and bought some (very) soft paintbrushes. Depending on the quality of the brush, prices will vary, but it's still a ton less expensive!

Aria (Vanilla flavored) Protein Powder

This protein powder is really good. Not sickeningly sweet, seems to stir into liquid without a lot of clumping. It is made with Stevia, which helps keep the calorie count down (it's 80 calories per serving), so if you're not into that, you may want to skip it.

Packing necklaces for travel

If you've ever tried to travel with necklaces, then you know how easily they can tangle. Rather than pack them in a plastic baggie or jewelry box, I take the charms off the chains (those go in a baggie). The chains I feed through a cut-to-fit straw and clasp them. This keeps them from tangling!

Getting deodorant marks off clothing

If you have deodorant marks on your shirt, simply rub the mark with another section of the shirt (or another piece of fabric). It will take the marks off very easily!

Five-a-day Fruit & Vegetable Cookbook

This cookbook is really neat. After the typical "kitchen gadget" section, it's broken down into two categories: fruits and vegetables. These are then broken down into subcategories, telling you about each type of fruit and veg (broken down by section), varieties, how to pick them &c.

Love the body that you have.

Learn to love the body that you have now (something I still struggle with at times), not the body you want. You are no longer the same person you were before your healthy lifestyle journey, so why dress that way? Get clothing that fits you better, and it will help motivate you.

Futuro Infinity Precision Fit Ankle Support

This wrap is really easy to use. It's essentially a long strip with a Velcro at one end and a loop at the other. You put your heel in the loop, wrap the bandage around the arch of your foot, and then loop it around the ankle and secure it with the Velcro.

OXO Good Grips Electronic Food Scale

This is an excellent scale, well worth the price. It has a lighted digital display that pulls out for easier viewing. It weighs up to 11 pounds in 1 grams and 1/8 ounce measurements. Weighing everything is one of the biggest changes I've made towards a healthy lifestyle!

Joe Boxer High Impact Sports Bra

This sports bra is OK. I picked it up at K-Mart for $10.99 (after having forgotten one over Memorial Day Weekend). It's racerback style, with molded encapsulated cups. I wish it had underwire, but for the price it serves its purpose.

Peanut Butter & Co. White Chocolate Wonderful Peanut Butter

This peanut butter is delicious! Mildly sweet, but not overpowering, it still pairs well with most vegetables and fruits. It's also no worse for you than regular peanut butter.
