I discovered that I was avoiding a work out so that I could watch a television show. Then I remembered Tyra Banks saying she had removed her sofas so she would get on the treadmill or elliptical during her favorite shows. Now I march in place, do side steps & use hand weights during my favorite tv.
I always complained that I didn't have time to workout with work & being a single mom, but then someone pointed something out to me: I had time to watch television & if I had time for that I had time to workout. So now instead of sitting down for tv I march or do free weights while watching my shows
I let a few good friends know what my goal for weight loss and exercise was. These friends help me stay on track, motivate me and share experiences so I stay positive and motivated. We've also made some joint goals and rewards which keeps us all motivated.
