Pack a bag

Grazing throughout the day has been my success. Each morning I pack a bag with fruits, veges, 1/4 cup cottage cheese or any other dairy, Some source of whole wheat like Wheat Thins (you can have 10 in a serving). Then I take this back where ever I go. If I am super hungry I can eat the bag all at once or I can graze on it throughout the day. Doing this allows me to eat healthy and stay satisfied. I have lost 40 pounds doing this.

measuring with ease

When measuring a sticky substance, such as peanut butter, try spraying the measuring cup with a nonstick spray first. The peanut butter will slide right out, and your days of scraping are over!

Be Happy!

If you are happy, you cannot be bitter. I have never seen a bitter person happy or a happy person bitter. You are only as happy as you make up your mind to be. Be thankful for every thing you have, instead of bitching about what you do not have. Smile you are worth it!!!!!

Work Out At Work

If your company has a fitness center, utilize it.

I found it much easier to stick with it with a fitness center just down the hallway. Very convenient!

Goals

I work in a high stress environment. We have food everywhere. Today I made a decision that when I am tempted to walk by and pick up something, I would think of my goal weight and how far I have to go. I was able to walk right on past.

portion savings

Instead of buying the 4oz cups of sugar free pudding, lowfat cottage cheese, sugar free jello etc, i bought some 4 oz glad ware containers. i buy the large containers of cottage cheese & make my own jello 7 pudding and put them in the gladwary containers. it is a lot cheaper.

Put graditude in your heart

“If you fill your heart with gratitude for the many blessings God has given you, you won’t have room left for any complaints about the things you think He hasn’t blessed you with.” – Elmer Laydon

You are not the garbage disposal

You know what I mean...you are putting things away after a meal and there's a handful of olives, or a few slices of tomato, one little bit of leftover peas, maybe one solitary slice of pie or one dollop of whipped cream left over. You do not have to "clean up" the serving dishes to avoid putting away a single serving. I have to remind myself at every meal that every bite "extra" I take still counts on my daily calorie goals.
