Self Motivation

self motivation is the best way to go, but if you have someone to encourage you, then more power to you. You have to answer to yourself.

Greek Yogurt

Great high protein snack - Greek Yogurt. 1 cup has 150 calories, 4.5 grams of fat and a whopping 19 grams of protein. Try it with some honey drizzled over it for a sweet, protein packed afternoon snack.

Breakfast

The most important meal of the day, always sets the tone to how you are going to eat for the rest of the day and feel. Always have a nutritious meal already made on hand so you don't grab the sugary cereal or cookie in the cabinet. The best ones I have are slim fast shake or meal bar or some other meal supplement. I also make 1/2 cup of egg substitute the night before so all I have to do is reheat and grab a fuit or other health carb to go along with. Remember BE PREPARED!

New Habits

My most recent accomplishment is that I walk daily.....and I mean daily. Creating a new habit is difficult but once it's there you can't wait to get back to it. The walking relieves the worry that I've had for years...needing more excercise. It also relieves emotional stress.

Getting Extra Veggies

I take care of a special need adult, she has a multitude of medical and physical problems, and she will usually eat anything, but Veggies was a hard one, she wouldn't try anything new. I found a way to get her to eat more.
We play a game in the store. Every week we go to get groceries, she gets to pick one new veggie to try, and if she picks one with out too much fuss, she can watch an hour of her favourite video when she gets home.

No matter how many times you think you've failed ....

You can try again really you can. I had just about given up trying to lose this excess weight. Looking for the miracle answer I didn't know where to turn. Finally after realizing I had the answer right in front of me in my living room. I have all the books based upon The Biggest Loser plan and I started reading them. I realized that actually reading about a full lifestyle change plan then implementing it is the thing that works. The key is not just to be motivated by need to get healthy but ....
