Plan and simple: Be the Change you wish to see
Nobody said it was going to be easy or quick and doing something is better than doing nothing, so keep trying to improve. Take baby steps.
Boredom is a choice. I can choose to be bored with a workout dvd or i can ignore that thought and choose to enjoy and push harder every time i do the workout.
You need one! They take the guessing out of how many calories you burn during your cardio session. Get one with a chest strap and make sure it asks for your info- gender, age, weight, height- Polar is a great brand- I have never regretted spending the $$$- The best piece of fitness equipment I own.
plain and simple: Find enjoyment in the little things.
One of the things that has helped me continue exercising everyday is the feeling i get EVERY TIME after i exercise. Its that rush of energy and that sense of accomplishment.
TODAY is a new day. TODAY I can do better than I did yesterday. TODAY I can make better choices. TODAY I will exercise. TODAY I will not focus on my mistakes of yesterday.
Make a goal and then commit to reaching it. Many goals aren't completed in one step. Its a process. COMMIT to that process!
Everybody that works out in the morning says that they feel accomplished and they don't have to worry about it the rest of the day. I then see EXCUSES for not working out in the morning such as "I'm not a morning person", to me that says "I'm not committed enough to change my lifestyle."
I find that when i don't really want to work out, if i just put on my workout shoes it gets the ball rolling and I'm ready to start my workout. Putting on my shoes/ workout cloths seems to be the hardest part. After the workout, i feel energized and ready to take on the world. So put on those shoes!
