In the Spring, you can pick dandelion greens, which are best before the flowers bloom. You can add them to salads for a slightly bitter taste, stir-fry, or boil them. This is free food, and very high in vitamins A and C! If you are really adventurous, pick the whole plant--the bloomed flowers can be batter fried, the flower buds can be pickled, or boiled and served with butter, and the roots can be dried in the oven and ground into a coffee-like drink.

It takes a bit to set it up, but now that I have been using it for a few weeks, I am learning to customize it for myself, and my apartment. In the meantime, my home is much cleaner and I am feeling much less stressed out! With the goal-setting skills I am learning here at sparkpeople.com, I am finally getting it all together!
