When in doubt, don't choose the easy way out!
Relying on my mind to know when I'm hungry doesn't work. I convince myself to eat because it's been (fill in the blank) hours since I ate. Instead, I stopped watching the clock and let my stomach do the thinking.
Relapsing into old habits can make things tough, and you feel even worse when the scale starts to rise. However, always remember that a relapse isn't the same as a regain. A lapse is only temporary. Start afresh RIGHT NOW before the lapse turns into something more serious. You can do it!
Junk food tastes good right now but an hour later you FEEL the negative effects. Weeks or months later you SEE the negative effects. Something great for a few seconds or minutes isn't worth something horrible for months or years.
Instead of being downhearted about the past or the present, focus on small or big positive events that will happen today, tomorrow, next month, or even in the years to come. Don't limit yourself to weight loss/gain events. Having something exciting to look forward to always keeps me pumped!
