Dip That Fork!

We all know eating salad before a main meal is a great way to fill up before an entree. While I always order my dressing on the side, I found that even though you control how much you drizzle on, a lot can be lost as it drips to the bottom of the bowl, or over saturates some areas, then leaves others dry.
My go to solution: dip my fork in my dressing (typically a vinaigrette or other type of light, non creamy version). That way I get a bit of dressing flavor in every bite but never over do it.

Lose the fork, eat with chopsticks!

I have started keeping a set of chopsticks on hand. I find I eat slower and really enjoy my food when I use chopsticks while eating. I also set the chopsticks down in between bites. This makes you have to pick them back up and reposition them. I love them and there is no rule that says you have to eat only Asian foods with chopsticks.
Pick up a pair at the store, or next time you go out for Asian food, grab an extra pair for another meal time. It's a bit of fun and a bit of a challenge.
