If I really don't want to go outside to walk. I bargain with myself. If I walk out the front door and still do not want to go for a walk then I can go back inside the house. Usually this is all it takes. Once outside I feel the sun or chilly weather, hear the sounds of birds or cars etc. Once out the front door I am good to go. Try it you will be amazed.
Gather a few friends together for a weightloss challenge. I have joined 5 friends for a 8 week challenge. We each weigh in once a week and add $1.00 to the kitty. At the end of 8 weeks who ever has lost the greatest percentage of body weight will get the Loot. Since I joined this challenge with friends it has been a huge motivator to do well. There is power in numbers!
If I try my best 7 days in a row I reward myself with fresh flowers. I put them in a prominent place where I see them everyday. I also stop and smell them daily as another reminder of my hard work. If I didn't do so well then I do not buy the flowers for that week. Instead I leave the vase empty as a reminder to try harder. There is something about that empty vase that motivates me to do well.
