I do not even own a t.v. set. I watch the films and tv programs that I want on line in my laptop. Most of the time there is no advertising, so I get to control how much time i spend in front of the screen , I decide and control when and what I watch. The extra time I can use it for other activities , the Best Part is that is FREE
When going to an event where food or sweets are around, I have come up with the following idea, I prepare home made JELL'O, and eat a portion or two before going out and a cup of herbal tea, like this my stomach is already somehow full, and I eat less at the function.
If you cannot take your calcium supplements or your diary food, grab some sesame seeds. You can add them to salads, breads, or eat them as tehinna sauce, Sesame seeds have more calcium than milk, and are better than diary,
Many times, when we reach out for food, we are not really hungry, we are thirsty. In order to control the food you eat, try to drink room temperature water or a herbal tea. You may be surprised of how many times you dont need to eat after drinking or you eat an smaller amount of food.
I decided to be really serious and reduce sugar to the minimum as well as other sources of fat, alas, I have to feed a family too, I found that if I replace sugar, and put in a dash of cinnamon, for example in pancakes and non diary drinks, everyone love it, even children and they don't get the high of sugar.
Staying Healthy should be every one first top priority. If you don't take care of yourself, you cannot take care of others. Even more, if you don't take care of yourself, no one else will, only you know how you feel, how much and how it is affecting you. And do it now , if it is not now, when?
Many of us work long hours, and the last thing we want to do is to get home and start cooking.
In order to eat less and increase your water intake, it is recommended to drink a glass of water before eating. If you don't like water, drop a lemon or lime slice, in the water, it will give some flavour and the lemon will help cut down the fat of the meal.
