If you are going to sit there during your favorite tv show that is fine, but during those pesky commercials that no one watches, add in a set of push ups and/or sit ups. These will add just a little extra to the exercise that you should already be getting.
I used to mindlessly snack while watching TV. Now, I jog in place. I started out jogging through commercials. Now, I jog through the whole show. It gets my Fit Bit steps in, stops the snacks, and I feel more energy all the time. It's a win/win!
When hit a plateau, I change up the food groups I was using. Eating a little more carbs and vegetables versus protein. My body apparently was recognizing a routine, and the change up kicked in. Losing slow and steady.
I attended great seminar where a guest speaker who has been in the get fit business for over 20 years said something almost too simple, I blew it off at the time but now I so get what she meant.

This makes it quick and easy to eat and track! They are also perfect snack size, and helps me get my 5 a day (minimum) in ...
I love my fresh fruit, but I found I was wasting my money when the fruit would go bad before I could finish it. Now to save money if it gets close to browning or going bad I now fresh freeze it. Slice it into small peices and reuse the fresh frozen for smoothies or fruit salad as needed!!!
