Food Saver

I recently went to Sam's Club and bought frozen vegetables; chicken; cereals and breads in bulk of course.
I vacuum sealed my breads in 2 or 3 bagels; 2 or 3 sandwich thins; frozen broccoli in 1 cup or 2 cup portions; precooked baby shrimp in 1 cup packages; and chicken pieces 4 per pack.

Tricking the Mind

If I get hungry or bored and I want to go and get something to eat...I tell my self that I don't need it. I usually go for a glass of water. emoticon

Water vs. Coffee

Drinking water or coffee.
My trick for not eating much is that first cup of coffee in the morning. It satisfies me and I am not hungry. When I am at work I drink most of my 8-8oz. glasses of water and then some. That fools my brain to, makes it think I am not hungry.

Trying to get off the plateau

I had read a blog comment and it said to change up your exercise so the muscles don't get use to the same routine.

I talk myself out of what I am craving. I tell myself that either I have it at home or that I really don't need it.

Message Boards

If I go to the message boards, I find my recent message I commented on the day before and I just edit my message. It saves me time on the typing; I just update message.

Nutrition tracker

This is a great tool. I use this and check my calories before I eat some food items. This way if it is to much I won't have that for a meal. emoticon

Go on your own

I find that if I go shopping and I go by myself I don't go and eat to much. I may not even go out to eat.

Clothes to tight

When my clothes start getting snug on me, I tell myself over and over time to start doing healthy things. It might take me 3 or 4 times to tell myself that, but then I think it finally sinks in. I get to business and exercise; go for walks and eat right.

Listening to Music

I feel more in control when I listen to good inspirational music. It makes me feel better about myself. I also do a better walk with my iPod, with my choice of music. emoticon emoticon emoticon
