Smooth Shaving!

If you want REALLY smooth legs try using an exfoliant (salt rub or a cleanser with grit in it) instead of shaving cream! It really works and it won't get caught up in the razor (like I thought it would).. My legs have never been smoother and just in time for SHORTS season!

Cold Addiction

Hello, my name is Maria, and I'm addicted to Special K "Chocolatey Pretzel Bars". They come six in a box and are a great SNACK! I have found myself eating enough to count as a meal on my nutrition tracker so I had to do something about it!

They are IMPOSSIBLE to eat when they are frozen (or you'll break a tooth) so what I did was freeze the entire box and take 1 out in the morning for my snack! This way I know I can't overindulge without a swift trip to the dentist!

Hardwood Floor Blues

I have hardwood floors and THREE dogs! Needless to say I sweep everyday! I always had the problem with dust bunnies flying away and I never seemed to be able to collect them in the same pile.. I sprayed a little bit of Static Guard on my broom before sweeping and they collect marvelously! Give it a try!

Hate Water? Spice things up!

I used to tell people "I LOVE water, as long as there's sugar and Kool-aid in it"! So obviously I struggled with the whole 8 a day thing. What I found helps is eating spicier food! You automatically reach for the water without even thinking about it! I'm not saying spicy EVERY meal, but I spice up lunch and I get an extra TWO glasses in! LOL

I know it sounds silly, but give it a try!

MAKE A LIST!!!

Whenever I went to the grocery store it seemed as though I walked out with SO many things I didn't need!

So now, whenever I run out of something I write it in my phone on a list! Then before I go to the store I check on-line or their circular to see if any of my items are on sale and then I write that down in my phone next to the item! We always have our phones and I tend to forget a paper list (plus it's green)! I only buy what's on my list!! Stick to it and see how much you save!

More than just a wipe!

I L-O-V-E having clean, white sneakers! So when I'm about to leave the house I give them a quick wipe with either one of my daughters baby wipes or a Clorox wipe! It works wonders to keep them looking brand new!

When it comes to the choice of elevator vs. stairs, opt for the stairs! You'd be surprised how much exercise you can get in just by switching to the stairs!

Ball-ti-task!

As I sit in front of the computer I keep my small pilates ball in between my knees (lifting my legs up toward my desk intermitently..engaging my core) or behind my knee squeezing! It's harder than it sounds! Give it a try!
