CROCKPOT leftover grease cleanup! Amazing trick!

I have a huge, heavy crockpot that I love, but cleanup is a chore. Line a deep, medium-sized strainer with a large coffee filter. Place the strainer over the hole in the sink or a pot, if you're saving the broth. Pour the cooled liquid into the strainer. The coffee filter will catch the bay leaves, grease, etc. Toss the filter into a plastic bag, fill the crockpot with hot soapy water and immerse the strainer washing both at the same time. then go enjoy your evening! emoticon

Cantaloupe milkshakes

I've been making cantaloupe milkshakes for almost 40 years and thought someone else might enjoy them, too!
Take one half very ripe cantaloupe, chop into pieces and put into blender, add one half cup of cold skim milk, tad of vanilla and 4-8 ice cubes. Blend until smooth, pour into a frosted glass, add a long straw and ENJOT! emoticon

Kick boxing in the pool

I can't kick box on land, but in the deep end of the pool, I'm dynamite! You can get a great workout and feel really good about yourself. Just kick, lift, punch and keep moving! emoticon

A Journal for Traveling

When I travel, especially on overseas trips, I journal my memories in a pretty notebook. BUT, to really make it easy, I prepare a few things in advance. First, I tape a very small calendar of the month in which I am traveling on the inside cover of the book. In addition, I tape an envelope, open side
out on the inside cover. ( I use it to put family photos or little notes or receipts. In the back of the book I make several pages of sticky notes. I stick one at the bottom of the page, move up

EASY clean up!

I love cantaloupe, but I hate cutting one. So, I now put the melon into a plastic grocery bag and set it on a baking sheet with sides. It's wonderful! I slice the melon, scoop out the seeds, peel the melon and it's all in the bag. Tie up the bag, throw it away, put the baking dish away and I'm done!
