Hypothyroidism is generally treated with synthetic thyroid hormone — and soy has long been thought to interfere with the body's ability to absorb the medication. Until the medical community can assure me (I have hypothyroidism) it's safe for me to consume soy products; I will proceed with caution.
Today I planted myself a vision garden. I thought of the garden as a metaphor of sorts for my own journey of renewal. My garden symbolizes a fresh beautiful start in life... so, when I go out to tend my garden it serves as a reminder that I, much like my garden, can only flourish when tended to.
one way that helps me stay motivated and accountable to my walking and workout routines is I have recently started to sign up for benefit walks in my area. I also prefer walking on a team vs. solo (accountability). I'm joining a walking team in my area for the motivation & support they offer.
"The Spirit of The Marathon" is I believe, one of The Best Inspirational Documentaries ever made! It gives hope to anyone and everyone who dares to dream! It is GREAT!!!
I have come to realize just how far I can push my body during my workouts which is "my personal best." I have tried on occasion to push myself further than I should, which leads to "burn out." Acceptance of the fact my personal best will always be good enough is for me, a valuable lesson!
I visualize...focusing in on a single body part which, for me is usually my belly because I want a fit flat belly so badly. I close my eyes and can see myself as the FIT version of me, I WILL be! I get excited and motivated by seeing this image in my mind; I'm ready to go out to make it happen!
I stand instead of sit while doing tasks, folding laundry, pc work, writing, reading also instead of making 1 large delivery of items to the bedrooms upstairs, I purposely make several trips up and down the stair's also do leg lifts and stretches while watching t.v. but really do not count.
