The first thing I do each morning, is to write my goals for the day in my journal, at the end of the day I write if I met my goals or need to work on them. It has helped me a lot!
When you are having a tough or busy week, or just plain tired... Break up your exercise throughout the day. A lot of times I will do 1 or 2 mile walks throughout the day. I am up to 11 minute miles so I can get quite the workout in now....
Measured out 2 oz. (8 servings) of pasta from all of my 16-0z. pasta boxes. Tied spaghetti, linguine in bunches using twist-ties; put penne, elbows, bowties in snack-size baggies; placed them back in their boxes. Now I have perfectly portioned 200-calorie servings of pasta ready at anytime I need!
I made the background of my computer desktop a picture of a bathing suit (just the suit, not a model wearing it). Every time I go on the computer for something I see it. It's a constant reminder that I'm working towards feeling good enough about myself to wear that suit in public!
Whenever I need to remind myself (or husband) of something, I write it on the bathroom mirror with a dry erase marker. Whenever I brush my teeth or wash my hands, I see the message. It's easy to clean off with a tissue too.
Use your hair conditioner to shave your legs. It's cheaper than shaving cream and leaves your legs really smooth. It's also a great way to use up the conditioner you bought but didn't like when you tried it in your hair...
When I find myself staying steady at a weight I go back & look at my trackers carefully. I usually find that I have been neglecting one food group (most often protein), am eating too little (calorie count too low), & have cut back on exercise. Adjusting these areas helps to get things moving again
For those days when I'm bored or unmotivated I go to my "Deal A Move" deck - a collection of individual strength or toning moves cut from magazines and pasted to index cards. I just randomly pull out 1 or more cards and those are the moves I do. It adds variety and a sense of game play.
I used this sock today for the first time, and it was an INCREDIBLE difference from when I wear normal socks. My feet didn't feel fatigued or tingly in anyway after I finished my C25K session, and it provided GREAT cushioning for my blister. I HIGHLY recommend this sock.
OMG! Chocolate Cheerios are sooo good! I first read reviews about them written on the Hungry Girl site....she raved about them and she was right! They are a perfect way to get that chocolate craving taken care of without guilt...and they don't affect my blood sugar badly!
