Don't completely deny your cravings

We all get cravings, especially this time of year. I have found when I get a craving, if it continue for a while, I make a choice to go ahead and give myself a small amount of that food. I only buy enough of it to have 1 serving (if needed I go to a restaurant to get the 1 serving). Then I take my time to eat it and relish every bite. By doing this, it keeps me from "pigging out" on food trying to satisfy that craving.

Adding Steps

Park further away. Whether shopping, at work, or running errands, those extra steps add up. You can easily add a few hundred extra steps per day just by parking at the far end of the parking lot and if you are someplace where you have to pay for parking you may save money too. Those extra calories burned by those extra steps will add up to extra weight lost.
