Add extra minutes by using your cell phone

To make sure I add plenty of movement to my day, I set an alarm on my cell phone to go off every hour. At that time (it doesn't have to be "on the hour," just once every 60 minutes), I get up from my desk and move around for 5-10 minutes. I work at home, so I use this time to perform housework (vigorously), strip and re-make the beds, take the dog outside and throw the ball while jogging in place, or otherwise physically move my body. The cell phone reminder really helps!

Combine other programs with SP

Maybe I just have a short attention span, but tracking calories and fitness get boring after awhile. To shake things up, I combine other programs with SP. For instance, I downloaded an app called Super Diet Genuis. It tells me exactly what to eat for each meal & snack. It's a nice little "cheat." When the weather warms up, I'm going to do Couch-to-5K training for my SP fitness. Using other programs like these in conjunction with SP keeps me motivated and interested.
